The Completely Biased List Of My Favorite Watches Of 2024
These are my personal favorites

Here we are, the end of the year. Looking through all of the releases of the year, I have to say I wasn’t exactly blown away with the year as a whole. Don’t get me wrong, there were some extremely cool releases, but something’s missing. Could be that I was just in a grumpy mood while going through them. Anyways, the cool thing about best-of lists is that every single person on the planet could make their own. And every single list tells a story of the person who made it. Here are my favorite watches of 2025:
Bulova’s New Snorkel Collection Is The MoonSwatch Killer We Needed
A watch I liked so much, I included it in two lists. That’s very rare. Read more about it here.
Fears And Studio Underd0g Team Up For British Watchmakers’ Day With A Gimlet-Themed Brunswick
Back in January, when this watch blew my mind with the incredible design and even better pricing, we didn’t know what was coming in terms of other cocktail collaborations. That said, I still think that the Gimlet looks the best and is my favorite. Read about it here.
Frederique Constant Teams Up With Watch Angels For Their Best Looking Worldtimer To Date
The radical difference between this and FC’s regular Worldtimer shows the power of a fantastic collaboration, and this was one of the best of the year. Read more about it here.
The New Nomos Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimers Are Exactly What You Would Expect From Them
It could be argued that this is the watch of the year. It’s so perfectly Nomos that it’s crazy. The limited editions — which have the best colors — sold out instantly and they are still behind on orders, it’s that popular. I would put it in the top 5 of my favorites, for sure. Read more about it here.
Seiko Revives The Iconic Watch Worn By NASA Legend Gene Kranz
When you revive an icon, and don’t mess it up, you end up with a modern icon. It’s that simple. Read more about it here.
Laventure Takes Inspiration From The 1980s And Marine Chronometers For Their Sensational Marine Type 3
I think this is a deeply misunderstood watch and in 10 years, people will rediscover it and marvel at how genius it was. Definitely in the top 5. Read more about it here.
Holthinrichs Teams Up With The Dial Artist For The Signature Ornament LAB Series 1.24
I will never learn to pronounce — or even write down, for that matter — the Holthinrichs name, which is a damn shame because this is the future of watchmaking. And this collaboration with the Dial Artist is just absolute perfection. Top 5, as well. Read more about it here.
Louis Erard’s Fil d’Or With An Incredible Micromechanical Embroidery Dial
People, listen to me, and listen to me well — this watch is still not sold out. You do not understand how much of a travesty this is. I’m sure that the photos don’t do it justice, but I have a video of it on my instagram. It is beyond stunning. You’ve never seen a dial like this. Go but it right now. Top 5 watch of the year. Read more about it here.
Dennison Fully Embraces The 1970s With An Extremely Cool Twin-Display Collection
The people’s watch of the year, for sure. It’s also mine. Great shape, perfect size, two time zones and a stone dial… What more could a person ask for. Go for one of the crazier stone combinations, just because. Top 5 of the year, as well. Read more about it here.
Kollokium Follows Up The Crazy Projekt 01 With The Wilder Projekt 02 For Friends, Family, Fools & Flippers
Ever since the Kollokium Projekt 01 came out, I’ve been screaming out into the void how incredibly cool it was. I’ve also set a milestone for this newsletter that when met, I’ll buy one. But then they go and release the Projekt 02. Oh boy, what a beauty. Welcome it to the top 5 best of the year as well. Read more about it here.
Cartier Fixes Biggest Gripe With Santos By Doing The Whole Case In Brushed Titanium; And Adds Lume
I was never a fan of the Cartier Santos. If only I hated it. Worst yet, I never cared about it. It was a complete unknown for me. So it’s crazy how one tiny change can make me whip my head around so fast in its direction that I slipped six discs. The matte titanium Santos is a masterpiece. Read more about it here.
Baltic Turns Their Already Very Cool Scalegraph Into A Regatta Timer
If you’ve been around these parts for a while, you know my love for a regatta timer. We’ve seen a few be released this year, but this one is my favorite. Read more about it here.
Seiko Brings Back One Of Their Coolest Watches Of All Time, The Rotocall
Here’s Seiko again with their iconic re-releases. I haven’t had time to do it yet, but this is joining my family very soon. Read more about it here.
Panerai Presents A Slightly Different Take On The Lunar New Year With The Radiomir 8 Giorni China PAM02088
Pretty much every major brand releases a special edition watch for the Lunar New Year. They are all the same, and they all seem to pander to Chinese customers with what can only be described as stereotypes — red, gold and the year of the ‘insert animal’ engraving. Panerai did it so much better, with a California dial that has Roman and Chinese numerals. Fantastic. Read more about it here.
Straum And The Real Time Show Join Forces On The Jan Mayen “Stormy Seas” With The Best Dial Of The Year
Yes, this is a watch made by my friends, Alon and Rob from the Real Time Show podcast, but it’s also undeniably incredible. It’s the one watch I regret not buying this year. And it’s the final entry in the top 5 of the year list (by now you likely surmised that my personal top 5 of the year is actually the top 7 of the year). Read more about it here.
The New And Completely Bonkers Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable Is Exactly What It Says
Come on, look at this. It was made for me. Read more about it here.
Ollech & Wajs Recreates Two Very Cool Vietnam-Era Watches, The MK-102 and MV-82
A bit out of left field, but I think this whole Ollech & Wajs Vietnam collection is incredibly cool. Read more about them here.
Baltic Adds Wonderfully Unique Stone Dials To The Prismic Collection
Also a bit of a late entry to the game, released just a couple of months ago, but they make the cut by proving you can do the stone dial trend, and still be unique. Read more about them here.
