IT'S ABOUT TIME PRESENTS: The Real Time Show Double Feature / Felix Dachsel Shares His Journey Through Time & The Alpina x TRTS Seastrong Introduced By Oliver Van Lanschot Hubrecht
This week, we have two new episodes of the TRTS
For more than a year now, this newsletter has been part of The Real Time Show network — I’ve just done a poor job of telling you that. The Real Time Show is a weekly watchmaking podcast founded by Alon Ben Joseph and Rob Nudds, now hosted by them along with Scarlett Baker and David Vaucher. Think of them as the audio expansion of It’s About Time!
What they’ve built is genuinely impressive. Not only are we working together to grow this network — with me handling the newsletter side of things, and possibly showing up on the podcast soon — but TRTS has also created a vibrant community of watchmaking enthusiasts.
We’re tightening the integration with the network. If you’re a podcast person, I know you’ll enjoy this one. Now, every Sunday — when new episodes typically drop — you’ll receive a short email with the latest installment in your inbox.
I hope you end up loving it as much as I do.
Today, we have a double feature — an interview with Felix Dachsel of Der Spiegel and an introduction of the new TRTS watch, the Alpina x TRTS Seastrong.

Felix Dachsel Of Der Spiegel Shares His Journey Through Time
This is a good one. The Real Time Show talks to Felix Dachsel, an esteemed editor from Der Spiegel Magazine and a passionate watch enthusiast.
Felix's career in journalism began in his school days, where he found an escape from traditional learning by becoming the editor-in-chief of his school newspaper. His passion for watches started even earlier, Flick Flack and Swatch watches.
They go deep in this one, exploring the problem of maintaining journalistic integrity while expressing love for watches and decribe the watch industry as a "closed circle," offering an escape from the darker aspects of the world. As the watch market faces challenges, Felix believes that industry leaders must remain open to change and innovation.

The Alpina x TRTS Seastrong Introduced By Oliver Van Lanschot Hubrecht
The guys sit down with Oliver Van Lanschot Hubrecht, brand director of Alpina to discuss the new The Real Time Show collaboration watch, the Alpina x TRTS Seastrong. It’s an interesting listen because you get to go behind the scenes of how a collaboration happens and what it takes to create a limited edition watch. A must listen, I would say.
